We strongly advise against this. You should get your Local Law 152 inspection completed as soon as possible. That is because:
- You MUST Use a Licensed Master Plumber – The only way to successfully complete an LL 152 inspection is with a licensed master plumber. There are not many of us, which means that there is not an unlimited supply of plumbers able to assess your property. There are situations in which we may not be available for a last minute LL 152 inspection, so getting it done now ensures you’re not in a situation in which no one is available.
- You MUST Pass – Not only do you need to complete an inspection, but you also need to make sure that you pass it. What happens if we do find a problem? Sometimes, we can fix it on the spot, but if it requires a special part or an extensive amount of labor, and you get it too close to the deadline, it may not be completed in time.
- We All Forget – The end of the year is a busy time for everyone. It is possible for us to forget that we need to get the inspection if it has not already been scheduled. Delaying runs the risk of being distracted by the holiday season, and possibly missing the deadline and putting yourself at risk for the expensive fine.
You need to get your LL 152 inspection completed by the last day of the year – 12/31. But waiting until the last possible minute can be far too risky, and there are many more benefits to getting it completed now.
