We’re in the final third of 2025, and that means that we’re heading into crunch time here at Empire Plumbing. Your Local Law 152 inspection deadline is getting closer, and as we’ve said many times in the past, it’s not a good idea to wait until the last minute.
While there is a tendency to assume that these things can wait, the truth is that there are very few licensed master plumbers in the region that can perform LL 152 inspections. The longer you wait, and the more you delay, the more likely that problems will arise:
- Our schedules do get busy near the end. We have an amazing team, but the sooner you call, the better and easier scheduling will be.
- Issues can arise on your end. You may get busy yourself, and the idea of getting an LL 152 inspection may not be what’s on your mind.
- Life itself is getting more expensive, and you don’t want to find yourself in the middle of the holidays, strapped for cash, and requiring a Local Law 152 inspection.
The issue here is that fines are being issued quickly, and these fines are expensive. The last thing you want is for you to find that you don’t have the time or ability to get your LL 152 inspection in time, and suddenly you’re faced with extremely high fines.
So if it’s time to get your inspection, the best time to schedule it is now.
Is It Your Turn?
Local Law 152 operates on a rotating schedule, with different Community Districts required to complete inspections in alternating years. In 2025, the buildings that are due for inspections are located in Community Districts:
- 2
- 5
- 7
- 13
- 18
If your building falls into one of these districts, and you haven’t scheduled your inspection yet, you are required to complete your LL 152 inspection by December 31, 2025. That means now is the right time to check your status and reach out.
Even if you’ve had a previous inspection, remember that LL 152 requires inspections every four years. The buildings inspected in 2021 are now up again, and those that received violations or partial passes may also have to follow up on required repairs.
